| Bio: | This is an RP Journal for Father Vincent from Silent Hill 3. Name: Father Vincent (I may come up with a last name later) What world they came from: Silent Hill 3 Birthday (if known): Unknown, but I'm going to use April 28, 1975, as he seems like a Taurus to me. Age: No known age, but I'm going with 25. He also seems as if he's delved into psycology a bit, so he's very good at reading people and using them for his own means. Quirks: He doesn't like getting his hands dirty. If something must be done, then he would prefer others do it. He has a lazy eye that often gives the impression he is lying. This may or may not be true. You be the judge. He seems to be pretty good at tailing certain people. Unlike the others in The Order, he prefers a comfortable life. The others usually went with a life of poverty and suffering due to their religious stance, but Vincent is known for skimming some money off the top for himself. He could be described as greedy and selfish at times, and he enjoys the pleasures of this world. He's very animated when speaking, often moving his hands around to match the words he's saying. He also usually talks in an overly-happy voice and smiles a lot. Personality: Many of the things said before in quirks could be written in this category as well. Vincent enjoys Earth the way it is. He's a bit greedy and selfish, as described before, but mainly because he enjoys a comfortable life. He's cruel to others most of the time unless it would benefit him to be nice to them. Vincent acts quite mysterious during the whole game but gives the impression that he is on Heather's side from beginning of the game. He doesn't seem to care much about Claudia's 'paradise' and obviously wants the world to stay the way it is now. He wasn't too loyal to the Cult during his time as a priest there and used the church's funds to his own needs, so maybe he thought that wealth was more important to him than the religion of the Cult he was following. He believes he's pretty much the only sane person there at the moment, and, at times, it seems pretty true. Sexual orientation: I imagine him being heterosexual unless he starts to like a guy enough to think of a relationship with him...or if a relationship with a guy would beneft him greatly in some form or fashion. So, I suppose you could call him bisexual, but mainly on the straight side. Reputation: Many people think he's creepy or just generally dislike him. It always feels like he's deceiving you, so it's logical for someone to feel that way towards him. Followers of the cult knew he was taking money, so several of them generally disliked him as well. Heather thought he was damn creepy and often disliked their meetings. Background Information: Vincent is/was a high priest in The Order in Silent Hill. He was referred to as 'Father Vincent' by members of the cult and also took money from the members both to make his own life comfortable and to fund the building of a new church. He disagrees with Claudia a lot about how the Order should be run and such. They seemed to have known each toher as children as well with how he speaks to her in one cutscene. I will explain later. These are the events with Vincent in Silent Hill 3 as best as I can write them: We first meet Vincent in a room in the Otherworld. Oddly, the room he's in is very clean and orderly, unlike all the rest of the rooms around his. He first proclaims he's on Heather's side, and is offended when Heather 'lumps him in' with Claudia. Hinting at Heather's past and insulting her mother and father, she yells at him for speaking of her 'father' like such. He backs off and Heather tries to prod him about her past once he says he knows about it. She wants to know how to put a end to the events around her, and he says she should stay a little longer, enjoy herself. She wonders if this place gets to him at all and he says "Oh, it gets to me all right. I find it...MOST fascinating." She thinks he's nuts and basically leaves the room to get away from him, not wanting anything to do with him. The next mention of him is by Douglas, who recieved a map and message from him saying to find Leonard once they get to Silent Hill. He is next seen talking with Claudia in the hotel room Heather and Douglas are staying at in Silent Hill. Claudia wants to know if he sent Heather to Leonard, her father, and he basically wanders aloud that it surely must have been a good thing. He basically blasphemes and Claudia declares he'll go to hell. He retorts with a 'you think God will save you? Ha!' She asks him what he knows anyway and he replies with 'I know the pleasures of this world' and that he wants to find his happiness while still here. He then suddenly brings up the abuse Leonard would put Claudia through, having seen it with his own eyes. She says that's why we need god. He retorts with 'What you call faith is nothing more than a child crying out for love. That's why you're all alone.' She replies with 'You don't understand...None of you do' Heather returns, shocked to find Vincent there, wondering where Douglas is. Vincent says he elft a message for Heather. Heather asks if someone was there just now, and Vincent lies, saying it was just him. The message he says is 'The church is on the other side of the lake.' He tells her that's where Claudia is and if she's going she'd best go through the amusement park. The next he's seen is in a library in the church. Yet again, this room is very clean while the rooms around it are rusty and dingy. She lumps him together with Claudia again and he tells her he doesn't like being lumped together with 'that madwoman.' Heather says he's pretty loony himself, but he says that, even if they believe in the same god, HE is quite sane. She asks why he helped her out, was it all part of resurrecting god? He says it's not uncommon for people to worship the same god and still disagree. She says 'God? Do you mean devil?' and he replies with 'Whichever you like.' This is where we learn he doesn't want god to be born. "It wouldn't be...convenient. Much too..unpredictable." She says she doesn't like being used and for him to do his own dirty work. He says they are both going for the same goal, but he can't do it, because he doesn't have 'special powers' like them. He says he always hated getting hot and sweaty. This leads to him accusing her of being the 'worst person in this room.' Having seen her enjoy killing them. She asks if he's talking about the monsters, and he asks. "Monsters? They look like monsters to you?" (Note: His lazy eye is very noticeable right here). He smirks once she freaks out, saying ti ws 'just a joke.' Then he asks if she has the Seal of Metatron and he feels as long as they have that, they're fine. He then hands her a book and leaves. During Heather's time in the church we learn of his taking of money from the members as well as hear a recording of him talking to a member of the church. We last see Vincent once the last encounter with Claudia is had. It starts off with just he and Claudia in the room. He says he wants the two of them to die..then he could relax. She asks when he stopped believing in god. He says he does believe in her, fears her, adores her, but that he hasn't lost his mind like Claudia. He says that this is just Claudia's own personal nightmare, just like Alessa 17 years ago. If it really was the work of god, then she has lousy taste. She says he will go to hell for being a traitor to god. He yells at her, asking who she thinks she is claiming to know god's will? She tells him to 'go home' and he declares that 'This church IS my home.' He built it with his power, the power of money that 'you view with such scorn.' She starts to threaten him, but Heather walks in. He tells Heather to 'Kill this crazy bitch. This demon who claims to speak for god.' Claudia then stabs him in the back and he falls to the ground. Claudia and Heather talk about the birth of god through hatred to create the perfect paradise and how Claudia does not expect to be forgiven for her sins. Vincent, from the ground, tells Heather to use the Seal. Claudia mocks him, saying the 'piece of junk' can't really kill god. She declares him pathetic before stabbing him in the heart and officially ending him. (Of course, there is contemplation that, since his body was no longer there at the end, that maybe he survived, but this is most likely a glitch in the game, and I'm going to have him die here for this RP.) Heaven or Hell? Which side has chosen your character? Heaven, he should be on the opposing side of Walter due to how he doesn't want God to be born, as well as several other reasons. Besides greed and being manipulative, he seems to be a pretty good guy. Third Person Example Writing: "I'm not sure if I...." He waved his hand around as he tried to search for the right word. "...truly WANT to be in Heaven...It's...Not like Claudia's version of Paradise..is it? If it is, I want nothing to do with it. I would love to go back to Earth if you could send me there. Mmm, Earth. I miss it already, and I've only been dead for...How long?" His speech was slow, calm..and almost sickeningly swet. You could almost get a toothache just listening to him. "It seems like forever, though. Especially considering how long I had to deal with Claudia's attempts at resurrecting God." He sighed. "She took all the fun out of it. And then it became a true possibility and I simply just HAD to put a stop to it, you know? I don't feel ANYONE would be happy in a paradise like that. The way the world was already was good. It had it's bad parts, but so much more of it was simply....simply..." He moved his hands almost elegantly, as if to emphasize his wording. "..wonderful." First Person Example Writing: So..I die from being killed by that insane bitch and somehow end up...here?...I must say, I miss home..but this isn't too pure for me. In fact, it's like home, but with less crazy people in it, like you-know-who...or maybe not, but I don't feel like talking about her. My, my, Alessa. It's been so long since I've seen you..and you look much different from the form I last saw you in. Of course, you could say that wasn't truly you, but it was you. It's confusing and another thing I don't wish to delve into. How have you been? Nevermind, bad question, isn't it? Though, it's nice here, isn't it? It seems peaceful. Do they treat you well here? ((At first he will be less snarky than usual, as to try and ensure he stays on everyone's good side, makes a good first impression. He doesn't know who all is dangerous and who's not, so he would want to figure that out first and get on everyone's good side before being the manipulative bastard he is.)) | |||||||||
